Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Vanta ("we", "us", "our") handles your data when you use our Discord bot. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to run the service.

1. Information We Collect

  • Discord User ID — used to identify you across the bot and associate vault saves, premium status, and preferences with your account. We never store your username, avatar, email, or any other profile data.
  • Server ID — used to scope server-specific configuration (e.g. confession channels, NSFW settings).
  • Command Usage Data — anonymised logs of command names and timestamps for diagnostic and rate-limiting purposes. No content of interactions is stored.
  • Vault Saves — URLs and metadata for content you explicitly choose to save to a vault. This data is tied to your User ID and stored on our servers.
  • Session Data — temporary pagination sessions stored in memory for the duration of a browsing session. These are not persisted to disk and are cleared on bot restart.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To deliver the core functionality of the bot (browsing, saving, pagination).
  • To enforce rate limits and cooldowns per user.
  • To associate premium status with your account.
  • To diagnose errors and improve the service.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

  • Your data is stored on secured servers. We use industry-standard practices to protect stored data from unauthorised access.
  • Vault saves and persistent user data are stored in a database with access controls. Only authorised team members can access this data for debugging purposes.
  • We do not store payment information. Premium subscriptions are managed entirely through Ko-fi.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Discord — we use the Discord API to operate the bot. Discord's Privacy Policy applies to data processed through their platform.
  • Ko-fi — premium subscriptions are handled by Ko-fi. Their Privacy Policy applies to subscription and billing data.
  • Content APIs — content is fetched from third-party adult content platforms. We do not store fetched media on our servers beyond temporary session caching.

5. Data Retention

  • Session data is ephemeral and cleared on bot restart.
  • Vault saves are retained until you delete them or request account deletion.
  • Command logs are retained for up to 30 days for diagnostic purposes, then automatically purged.
  • If you request deletion of your account data, we will remove all stored User ID associations within 14 days.

6. Your Rights

  • You may request a copy of all data we hold associated with your Discord User ID.
  • You may request deletion of all data associated with your account at any time by contacting us via our Discord support server.
  • You may opt out of non-essential data collection by discontinuing use of the bot.

7. Age Requirements

  • Vanta is an NSFW bot and is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older, or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction.
  • By using Vanta you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be announced in our Discord server. Continued use of Vanta after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
